<p>As I mentioned,<strong> NOW is the time for you to be gearing up for the Fall Marketing</strong> season that begins in September and runs through November.</p>
<p>This will fill your practice.</p>
<p>Lawyers in our Personal Family Lawyer program are booking new appointments 8 weeks out. Yes, you read that right, 8 weeks and their prospects are thrilled to wait for them.</p>
<p>So, what do you need to do now to fill your practice this fall?</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a list:</p>

<li> Line up speaking engagements, at least 6 this fall will fill your practice IF you are speaking intentionally with a strong call to action at the end of your talk.
<p>We provide presentations to reach divorce lawyers, families with young children, real estate investors and agents, and wealthy/elderly families to our lawyers &#8212; let us know if you would like us to help you with speaking to sell your services.</li>
<li> Get your marketing campaigns lined up so you are running at least one campaign a month &#8212; September is a great month for back to school, October is a great month for Halloween type promotions, and of course giving thanks in November.

<p>I&#8217;ve also heard a lot of lawyers say things like &#8220;it&#8217;s the summer&#8221; so I am not doing any marketing because no one shows up in the summer.</p>
<p>Or, I&#8217;ve also heard &#8230;</p>
<p>&#8220;Summer is so slow, no one is doing anything in the summer.&#8221;</p>
<p>Hm, that may be right for your colleagues, but for many people the world keeps on going throughout every season.</p>
<p>And<strong> if you keep your marketing consistent throughout the summer, it will pay off for you big time</strong>.</p>
<p>I like to break up the year into 3 marketing seasons -</p>
<ul>
<li>Fall Marketing Season (mid-Sept-mid-November)</li>
<li>Spring Marketing Season (Feb-May)</li>
<li>Summer Marketing Season (June-August)</li>
</ul>
<p>When I was in practice I would plan my marketing for each season in the season before.</p>
<p>That means now would be the time to begin planning for the fall marketing season.</p>
<p>In next week&#8217;s law business revolution briefing memorandum I&#8217;ll share with you how you can plan for the fall marketing season so you stay booked with new business through the whole season and beyond.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Alexis here with this week&#8217;s Law Business Revolution Briefing memo and I&#8217;m answering a question asked by a few subscribers over the years, that you may also wonder about from time to time as you receive emails about my million dollar law practice.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the <strong>most honest answer</strong> I can give you:</p>
<p>I no longer practice law because once I got the system down for how to attract the right clients, engage them just about every time and serve them with streamlined systems that turned them into raving fans, frankly I got bored.</p>

<p>Once I got the systems developed and in place in my office, I got antsy and restless.</p>
<p>It began to dawn on me that it was <strong>not my destiny to serve clients</strong> on a one to one basis, or keep running the systems I had created while other lawyers in my firm did the work.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m the kind of gal who thrives on challenge and change and trying new things.</p>
<p>And I also knew that I didn&#8217;t invest thousands of hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars in creating those systems and marketing campaigns just so I could be the only one to use them.</p>
<p>That would have felt wasteful.</p>
<p>So in late 2006, I took a risk and began teaching my systems to other lawyers.</p>
<p>Today, hundreds of lawyers are benefitting from my willingness to share what I learned and created. Now you do not have to reinvent the wheel and take all the risks like I did.</p>
<p>Instead, I can do what I do best &#8211; guide lawyers to use my systems, write books and appear on tv to educate the public, and create effective marketing campaigns or lawyers to reach more clients.</p>
<p>As an example, the lawyers in our <a href="http://personalfamilylawyer.com">Personal Family Lawyer</a> program are raving about our recent Mother&#8217;s Day campaign, which is getting their phones ringing and new clients in the door.</p>
<p>So that&#8217;s why I no longer practice law. I believe we are all here for a specific purpose and part of mine is to help those of you who love to serve more clients, with more heart and don&#8217;t want to have to take the risk and time and effort to build the system from scratch.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Alexis here with this week&#8217;s Law Business Revolution Briefing Memo.</p>
<p>This is a quick tip that will create a quantum leap in your business.</p>
<p><strong>Get clear</strong> about exactly <strong>how much you want to make</strong> each month, how many new clients you need to engage to make that amount and specifically what you need to do to bring in that many clients.</p>
<p>To do this, you <strong>need to know your numbers</strong>. I know this can be difficult for some of you because it was for me. But once I figured it out, my whole practice clicked into business.</p>
<p>I knew I needed to see on average 15 new prospects each month (and engage 13 to 14 of them) at an average fee of $4,000 to hit my financial objectives.</p>
<p>Once I knew my numbers, I could work backwards to create a marketing plan that would get my phone ringing with 20 or so inquiries each month, knowing that of those 20 phone calls 15 would make appointments and 13 or 14 would engage my firm.</p>
<p>So, based on this, let&#8217;s identify where the breakdown is in your business &#8230;</p>
<ol>
<li> Do you know your numbers?</li>
<li> If you do, where are you not making them.<br />
a. not enough phone calls coming in?<br />
b. not enough of those calls turning into appointments?<br />
c. not enough of those appointment turning into paying clients?</li>
</ol>
<p>Once we diagnose where the problem is, we can fix it pretty quickly. So, where is your challenge?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After the Law Business Revolution Weekly Briefing Memo around recurring revenue, many of you wrote in and said that your <strong>biggest challenge</strong> is that you <strong>need more clients first</strong> and then you can think about recurring revenue.</p>
<p>Good to know because I can help with that.</p>
<p>If you want more clients, you <strong>need to have a system in place for following up</strong> with and <strong>staying in communication</strong> with your prospects.</p>
<p>This is where most new clients are lost.</p>
<p>You speak at an event, do some networking or some sort of marketing activity and people are simply not ready to say yes to working with you right away &#8211; they need time, information, education.</p>
<p>But, you do not follow up because you are simply too busy and do not have an automated system in place.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s understandable. And, it&#8217;s costing you money.</p>
<p>So, we need to get you set up with a system that lets you stay in connection with your prospects until they decide to either hire you or that they are not interested.</p>
<p>I had people come in to my office and hire me after 3 years of hearing from me regularly every week by email and monthly by mail.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week we talked about recurring revenue here in the Law Business Revolution weekly briefing memo.</p>
<p>As a quick reminder, that&#8217;s when your clients are paying you monthly or annually instead of hourly or per transaction.</p>
<p>And you want recurring revenue so you don&#8217;t have to start every month over at zero, depend on sending out invoices to get paid, and you have consistent, reliable income you can count on.</p>
<p>The <strong>key</strong> to keeping your clients happy on a recurring revenue model is <strong>frequent communication</strong>.</p>
<p>As you know, one of the biggest complaints clients have about their lawyers is that they never hear from them after they write their check.</p>
<p>But that won&#8217;t be the case for you ever again. Your clients will love that you are regularly communicating with them, keeping them informed and checking in to see what additional support they need.</p>
<p>Now, you might be thinking to yourself, &#8220;that sounds real nice, but I do not have time for that.&#8221;</p>
<p>But, here&#8217;s what&#8217;s really cool. With technology today, you can <strong>automate</strong> it with software and <strong>yet</strong> your <strong>clients feel</strong> as if they are <strong>receiving personal attention</strong> directly from you.</p>
<p>And that keeps them coming back for more and sending all of their friends, family, clients and colleagues to you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s an exciting time here at the Law Business Revolution where we are actively transforming the new Personal Family Lawyers and Creative Business Lawyers into trusted advisors their clients can count on.</p>
<p>For those of you who didn&#8217;t make it in before we closed the program, thank you for letting us know you want in next time.</p>
<p>We can see that there is strong demand and will try to open enrollment again before the end of the year.</p>
<p>Today, I want to talk with you about <strong>recurring revenue</strong> because it&#8217;s such an important piece of the <strong>new paradigm law business model</strong>.</p>
<p>One of my biggest challenges as a lawyer with a traditional business model was that every single month it felt like I was starting over at zero.</p>
<p>It felt as if I had to <strong>constantly scramble</strong> for the next new client, <strong>constantly worry</strong> about where the money was going to come from to support me, my team (once I got up the guts to hire people to help me), and pay my rent.</p>
<p>I hated feeling as if every month I was starting over from scratch.</p>
<p>Once I implemented the <strong>new law business model that included recurring revenue everything shifted</strong>.</p>
<p>I <strong>stopped worrying</strong>, I felt like I had a real business, I had revenue I could count on and most importantly my clients loved the model I created because it didn&#8217;t just mean money for me every month it meant I had a real relationship with them, not just a one-time transaction.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s great about a real relationship with your clients is that you will know you are making a difference for them, really helping them and you will love being a lawyer again.</p>
<p>So, <em>I invite you to consider what you could right now offer to your existing clients that would inspire them to want to pay you on a monthly or annual recurring revenue basis</em> and allow you to truly serve and develop a relationship with them that they appreciate.</p>
<p>When you do that, you will never have to worry about starting every month over at zero again and you will know you are making a difference in your client&#8217;s lives.</p>
